what we believe

 A. Word of God
We believe the scriptures to be the sixty six books of the Old and New Testaments as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings that are of supreme and fmal authority in faith and life (II Timothy 3:16,17; II Peter 1:19-21).

B. Doctrine of God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Exodus 20:2,3; I Corinthians 8:6 I John 5:7; Revelation 4:11).

1. God the Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He graciously concerns Himself in the affairs of mankind; hears and answers prayer; and that He saves all who come to Him through the Lord Jesus Christ (Genesis 1 :2; Deuteronomy 32:4; Psalm 18:30; I Corinthians 8:6; II John

2. God the Son
We believe in Jesus Christ who was begotten of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, that He was buried and rose on the third day according to the scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, and that all who believe him are justified on the ground of His shed blood (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:35; John 1:14,3:16; acts 13:35; 15:11, 16:30-33; Romans 3:24,5:1,9,8:1).

3. God the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit who ministers now in the world to convict of sin, illumine Scripture, empower, and encourage all who believe in Jesus Christ. We further believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ and that He is our ever-present helper, teacher and guide (Luke 12:12; John 16:13; Acts 1:5,8; Romans 8:9; I Corinthians 3:16; I Corinthians 6:19; Ephesians 2:2211 Corinthians 5:5).

C. Doctrine of Man
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that by sinning he incurred physical and spiritual death including separation from God, that all human beings are born in sin, and that this sinful nature is the origin of all sinful acts in thought, word and deed (Genesis I & 2,3:1-6,24; Romans 1:18,32,3:23; Romans 5:12-19).

D. Doctrine of Regeneration
We believe that all who receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God (John 3:38-8; n Corinthians 5:17; Titus 3:5; I John 5:1).

E. Doctrine of Satan
We believe in the reality and the personality of Satan who is the archenemy of God and man and the instigator of sin and death. He was defeated at the cross and will be cast into the lake of fire (Matthew 4:1-3' II Corinthians 4:4' Revelation 20:10)

F. Doctrine of the Church
We believe that the church is composed of all those who truly believe in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior. It is the body and bride of Christ. We believe in the evangelization of the world and that the church in this age is to preach the gospel to every creature (Acts 2:41, 42; I Corinthians 11 :2; Ephesians 1:22,23,5:21 Matthew 28:18-20; John 20:21; Acts 1:8).

G. Doctrine of Christian Life
We believe that all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ are called into a life of separation from worldly and sinful practices unto a life of service to the glory of God and should abstain from such practices as will cause others to stumble and bring reproach upon the name of Christ (II Corinthians 6:17; Ephesians 2:10; Romans 12:9, 17,13:14,14:21).

H. Doctrine of Last Things
We believe in "that blessed hope", the personal return of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting separation and consequences of the lost (John 14:3; Acts 1:11; I Thessalonians 4:16; I Corinthians, 15; I Thessalonians 4:13- 18; Revelation 20:11-15).

I. The Ordinances of the Church
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church: Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We also believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

1. Baptism
Baptism is the immersion in water, of a person who has accepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior. It is an act of obedience to signify death, burial and resurrection to new life in Christ (acts 8:26-39; Romans 6:1-6).

2. The Lord's Supper
The Lord's Supper is a grace filled partaking of the bread and the cup in commemoration of Christ's death until he returns. We practice open communion for all believers (1 Corinthians II :23-33).

J. Religious Liberty
We believe that every human being can have a direct relationship with God and is responsible to God alone in all matters of faith. We believe that each church is independent and must be free from interference by any ecclesiastical or political authority. Therefore, Church and State must be kept separate as having different functions each fulfilling its duties free from dictation or patronage of the other.

K. Church Cooperation
We believe that local churches can best promote the cause of Jesus Christ by cooperation with one another in a denominational organization. Such an organization, whether a regional or district conference, exists and functions by the will of the churches. Cooperation in a conference is voluntary and may be terminated at any time. Churches may likewise cooperate with interdenominational para-church fellowships on a voluntary basis (Numbers II :17; Luke 5:7; Acts 11 :29; Titus 3:13).
